It wont get lost to me, and when I make a change it will come to the top of the forum and hopefully people who are INTERESTED in the changes will be SUBSCRIBED to the thread so they'll get notification.
I agree, but then you are an advanced user...you do this all day...most others surf during their lunch break and may not be as profiecient at it like you.

We dont have room for areas that are unecessary, IMHO. You can create a million "FJ Topic" -- but are all of them necessary? Are some of them redundant? I mean, is it worth it to have a section thats going to get maybee 5 or 6 threads a month? IMHO, Its not.
I agree, but what about trying to see if it does make a difference. There looks to be over 3,000 users, and we are just 2 of them.

I still dont see the difference between a DIY and a HowTo section. Unless you mean the DIY would be directed at the FJ, and the Howto would be directed at how to operate on this forum, in which case thats what the forum FAQ is for: http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forums/faq.php
Bingo! thats the difference I am talking about.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. We cant please everyone at everything... and I think you had some great suggestions that we will be implementing, but I dont think we will implement all of them.

If you're serious, you're only asking for those, who really take that kind of thing seriously, to post useless responses, etc., in the on-topic areas.

BTW, I see you've done some serious house cleaning, and organization, today. Good job.

Great changes so far, way to make an awesome site that much better!

My small suggestion - how about a category for GPS co-ordinates or file uploads? Maybe it could be the Trail Report/Photo/GPS Section?

I see a lot of people talking about and/or running GPS in their FJ's (me included) and I think this would be a cool addition to share the data of where people go exactly.
Keep up the good work ekool!

I'd prefer NOT to see a ranking system based solely on post count. Maybe a system based on length of membership, activity and contribution.
Just seems that in this system it rewards post whores, that have nothing to contribute but mindless dribble and useless commentary.
Id like to see the status of people like KansasLawdog, Granger, Topless, and others, who's contribution have been invaluable, be elevated to something above myself.
I am a "forum veteran" yet to be very honest, I contribute very little to the wealth of knowledge and expertise found here. If I am knocked down to NEWB status after this, so be it.
I can contribute a little humor, a little personality, ask questions that may not have been asked, but often enough its people such as the above named individuals who answer these questions.

Oh and add more blonde bombshell moderators, please!

I think we could modify one of the trail categories to include GPS in the title. What category description would you use with that tho?

I'm open to modifying the ranking system to include other critera such as time in service as well. If you want to draw out a ranking system that you think would be better, I'm all ears...
