There are always alot of ways to improve this site, but we dont know them all We rely on our users to give us suggestions on how we can improve the site. Unfortunately, we cant read every thread on this site and often alot of good ideas fall by the wayside simply because we dont see them. So, I wanted to start a thread that all forum suggestions could go in so we dont miss anything.
Feel free to post up any ideas you may have on how we can make this site better.
1.Change the ranking system. Have more ranks.
2. Move more threads "gen. topics" I see way to many useless discussions!
3 add voice chat to the chat room.

I'm going to work on the ranking system right now.
I'll have to look into the voice chat.
As far as moving threads, thats a touchy issue. Often times when you move a users thread they get offended, even if you are trying to do them a favor. So we have to be delicate about that and often times decide wether its really worth it to move a thread and potentially offend a user for such a small issue.
Here are the forum ranks. Please note, posts in "Off Topic" will not raise your post count, so i'm going to fix that and alot of people may see their post count decrease when I fix it.
If someone wants to come up with a better ranking system, post it up.
1) Make this thread a Topic area so it has the visibility to be seen by all forum users.
2) Create new topics areas: a) a vehicle comparison topic area b) a frequently asked question area with the top noob questions/issues addressed or threads with high post counts (with value to all, of course) c) a Do it yourself area for those all important installs. d) a how to thread for posting/uploading pics, posts, using chat and other user aspects etc d) a "what's new" type of are to highlight new features/activities done to improve the site.
3) Subcategories to the 4x4 and visual mod topic areas to organize the threads more along body/functional aspects
wow, changes! cool colors for sticky's and i like the toyota symbols! Any chance we can get them color coated to match our FJC's?
Also, can the "location" be required on registration??

I'll have more later...
#2, b, d and d (:P)...would be great to see a "help/forum update/test" area for those that have questions regarding how to insert a pic, start a thread, search
#1, this thread is a sticky, therefore at the top...
I'm excited to wake up today, check out this forum, and see signs that it may get back to the business of serving its readers as well as its venders - congratulations on the foresight to preserve what you have worked so hard to create - an FJ CRUISER forum (not a political diatribe...) Thanks

I would still say to make it a topic area...higher visibility and might be a lot more useful that the "Super Off topic area" of the "Introduce yourself" topic areas
Also, maybe condense the regional topic areas into larger grouping or sub-divide within a particular area. I know norcal girls are hot, but why do they need they're own regional level forum highlight?
