Maybe a slow forum fix I just found?

I am using firefox, and using the syncronize program you can have with it to remember bookmarks.called foxmarks, ok if you go to tools and select foxmarks settings, click on advanced, uncheck logging, then ok.

then go to tools, options, advanced, and set your cache to 100 mb this should speed up the forum loading.

also if you have smooth scrolling turned on it will drive you nutso.. hope this helps someone..

I'm not quite following you here. What is the synchronize program and where is is located? Where can I locate the foxmarks? I did not see anything under the tools menu. And yes, I am running Firefox 2.0.0.14

I don't really have a speed problem, but faster is always better IMO. I do run Ad Block Plus which I consider a major improvement.

Can you clarify some? Thanks for the post!

Re: Maybe a slow forum fix I just found?

It's a firefox add-on Foxmarks

I use adblock as well, but wish I didn't have to. Ad revenue helps to drive websites like this. If certain ad servers didn't load so slowly and/or time out, I'd shut it off.

the original poster ~should~ have mentioned that Foxmarks is an addon.

That is, it DOES NOT come with a standard FireFox installation.

curious?
Foxmarks

enjoy.

again .... i say if you don't run adblock
