Ad blocking the search function.

Has anybody else been a bit frustrated by the center ad at the top of the page blocking the use of the search function?

I guess I joined this forum to learn and share with you folks and find it odd that advertising is taking precedent over the usefulness of the primary search ability.

Just like when I'm out there 4x4ing....function and purpose before pretty is the way I like to travel.

Can this not be fixed by simply moving the ad box a bit...or somewhere else on the page?

Am I the only one having problems with the ad blocking the search box?

Yea, i've had this problem for the past couple of weeks. Before that I never had that problem. I usually refresh the page and the new ad allows me to do the search. I agree though it is quite annoying. Especially if the server is slow.

I use adblock plus on firefox, so I don't see the ad.

Re: Ad blocking the search function.

I don't know where the problem is. I can click search and the box drops down. What exactly is happening?

Most of the time it will work. I haven't paid much attention on which ad it is though. When I have the problem I always hit refresh so a new ad will come up and I can then submit my search.

What happens: When the search button is hit the ad blocks the pop up and doesn't allow you to type your information into the search box.

Re: Ad blocking the search function.

An easy fix to to bookmark the link to search. It will take you to advanced search and no ads to block you.

Re: Ad blocking the search function.

Lately it seems like I'm not being blocked anymore. I do not know if it was fixed or just that my browser client received an update.
