Let's go a step further: I want an automatic "welcome" auto-response to all new introduction thread.

This would save us a lot of time when people introduce them self :-)

No no, I rely on those to boost my post count

Re: Make an introduction required

I don't realy care about intros. Sometimes I say hi and welcome. But I like the idea of a minimum number of posts before starting a new thread. It would cut down on things like "how do I use 4 wheel drive?" And "How do I open the rear window?" Legitimate questions, but questions that are easily answered in the owners manual. As far as the search feature goes, I can always find what I'm looking for, just have to wade through some random stuff sometimes.

I believe all new members should be required to post a picture of a hot chick with their FJ.

Re: Make an introduction required

Introduction and number of posts?
I really had no Idea what a forum even was,all I knew was that I found a place where I thought we could share information and maybe help another owner out,or just discuss what we love or hate about the FJ.
Realize that not all of us on here were born using computers or even schooled on them.
I'm glad I found this post, now I know to try and put anything I post in the correct forum.
This is a great site..Thanks.Steve

Re: Make an introduction required

My name is Lance and I am fairly new. I used to do some wheelin but I recently moved to Nebraska and do not know the area or people so I have not been for a while. I find so much good information on here that help me in many ways. I would like to continue learning from everyone and share my experiences when applicable. Thank you FJC forum.

Re: Make an introduction required

I agree! The search function isn't the best, but sometimes you can tell people don't even try. Good suggestion!
