Re: How about a "build up" forum section?

I like the idea of a build section they have one on a diffrent board I belong to.
But I think that the build threads should be locked from other to post in so that way they stay realy clean and if a conversation thread is need one could be started in the relative sections and if the builder wants could link that thread to the part it aplies to.

example
Project Vehicles - race-dezert.com but a little diffrent sence this one is just for the owners of the site.

Re: How about a "build up" forum section?

I think that's a great idea...I'm from another car forum...iwsti.com...and we have a members journal section where people have created car journals...some very extensive and others fairly basic.

here's a link to my journal...those that wanna see what a journal section is like please click on link...

Re: How about a "build up" forum section?

I saw my name above, thanks.
I do keep track of each and every single mod I have done.
http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forum...7-25-06-a.html

Another idea the admin can setup here is the same thing I set up on my forum, a "Check out my truck" type of section.
Check Out My Truck - YotaTech Forums

Of course it is divided up by type of rig, as the forum is not FJC specific.
But I have the permissions setup up so only the thread starter can post in his/her thread.

This keeps out comments from others, and provides a place for the thread starter to showcase their ride and what they have done to it.

I have a thread for mine in the FJC section of that area, but I really do not update it, I just update my thread there which is exactly like the one here of my buildup, and it is also mirrored over on ih8mud's forum in their FJC section.

But a section here could be setup easily like the "Check out my truck" section I set up.
That forum section could be just for buildups, but if you want others to reply to the threads too, then it should not be locked down like that area on my forum.

But a separate forum section here specifically for buildup threads like I and others have would be cool.

I hope the crusier forum gods agree with us mortals. I sure have waited awhile for someone else to sugest it. and i think it would be a cool place to post b4 and after repairs (body damage) as well.

Love it. Kinda like having our own personal garage on the forum.
