The little envelope sometimes is on fire and sometimes has a dot on it, what do the various envelopes mean. I only know that the one with the lock on it means no more posty.

It will tell you if you have a post in it also will tell you how active the thread is. If its on fire its more active then one that isn't.
Normally there is a legend for it on forums.
