Who started this all?

Was this a privately owned forum at one point? I see that autoforums.com owns the site, that's kind of disheartening, I thought that some web designer/FJ Owner made the site for us to do whatever it is we do here.

Anyway, I've learned a lot so far, and hats off to everyone that runs and maintains this place.
