WTF Autoforums!

So my supporting membership was to expire today or yesterday and i was just going to let it. I have no need for it.

But then i wake up to an email this morning and i see Autoforums AUTOMATICALLY charged my paypal $24.99! I did not even get a confirm payment or anything from paypal, just a, "$24.99 was just swiped from your pocket, *****, and now you gotta deal with it" type feeling.

I filed a claim with paypal right away and lets see where that ends up!

Soo... watch your paypal or credit cards and what not..

Great heads up Dom. Made me check my user profile to make sure it won't happen to me, even though I did the whole "lifetime" thing. I didn't see anywhere it says "auto-pay" or the like.

Should be a reminder to all to check your charges regularly. Again, good catch Dom...

Holy moly...

Paypal took all of 3 minutes to cancel the payment .

Thank you paypal! Problem solved.

yeah, I agree with coach. Check and make sure you guys are NOT lifetime members that automatically gets an autopay every 6mos or year!

This might be on another thread but Autoforums are making big revenues from the huge flow of commercials/ads here and I dont understand that members, especially contributing members/senior forum members are paying?

These senior contributing forum members should get paid, instead of "paying" due to the limitless effort on providing tons of infos. I must include, moderators, who work tirelessly on this forum for FREE (even to the point that they have very little time left with their families). Sad (not to autoforums).
