Interior space for my toys??

Seriously considering buying an FJ. I am a surfer, mt biker, kiteboarder, and wakeboarder. How do such items fit in the truck does anyone know the exact width of the back and depth from seat to door. Any one able to fit a 6'8 surfboard in the car without the seats down? how is the roof rack?? Your experiences woudl be most appreciated.

Roof rack is great. I doubt you have 6'8' even with the back seats down. My 7' fishing pole sticks into the front area.

Re: Interior space for my toys??

interior cargo space and cubby storage is not great. Disapointing really when I've been driving tacos for the past 7 years with no issues. I think my problem is moving from truck to SUV I concieved so much more space in my mind during the extended delivery wait it was more of a let down that it should really be. BUT, the rig is so damn cool you can't wait to drive it every day you'll find a way to make it fit all your hobbies. the Fj rocks, buy one.

Re: Interior space for my toys??

I just put my boards on the rack with a couple bungie cords. Its easy if you stand on the tire. A hitch mounted bike carrier would be great too. Its probably better to keep all the sandy, muddy stuff on the outside anyways.
