Special Edition FJ - A Rumor Only?

I noticed a chat option on the Toyota website so I thought I'd ask about the special/limited edition model. Here is what they said.

"Dede:Hi, my name is Dede. How may I help you?
You: I would like to know if there is any information available regarding a limited edition or special edition FJ?
Dede: At this time we have no information on a special edition FJ Cruiser.
You: Do you know if it will be available eventually? Or is it just a rumor?
Dede: No at this time the FJ Cruiser is a regular model in the Toyota lineup. We have no plans to release a limited edition model.
You: Ok then. Thanks for your time.
Dede: No problem! "

What do you guys think?

I agree, she didn't provide a whole lot of info, but I wonder if she was right? I haven't been in a big hurry just because I kinda wanted to see the limited before I bought ... but now with this info ???

I'm sure they aren't allowed to speak to it until they actually do a PR announcement. A good company wont just throw information out there without having all their ducks in a row.

Dede is out of the loop. Why or how would she know? If they are indeed releasing a special edition, people at her end of the phone (or on chat) in customer service will be the last to know.

They aren't going to use pre-sales personnel on something happening in the future.
