Re: lookin for opinions

Do you ACTUALLY NEED a monster truck? Or, will an FJ do fine for 90+% of your use? You can always rent a 3/4 ton if youre using it for what its actually for...I'd say get out of it now while you can. In 3-5 years you wont even be hearing of 2006 trucks getting that offer. Or, do the sane thing and sell it privately.

Re: lookin for opinions

If the dealer is offering you $17K it must be worth alot more. You may miss doing those nifty 60' burnouts on dry pavement!

Re: lookin for opinions

Drop that GM vehicle before you lose a running light! (maybe Im too late?)

In all seriousness, I am quite sure you will be so pleased with the quality and solidity of the FJC. I would sell the Chev PP, then buy the Toyota.

Re: lookin for opinions

Try to sell it yourself. It should be easier with gas prices so low, and you'll get more $.

Re: lookin for opinions

17k has to hurt. I got 15,100 for my 01 tacoma D-CAB on trade and I thought that was low.

I'm shur you will miss the HP power.

Re: lookin for opinions

Is the FJC weak or something? No way.

My 6 speed with 10,000 miles is very strong, and is getting loose, free revving, and dare I say... feels "fast".

Powertech, dont worry... the FJ is plenty powerful. This isnt a toyota from the early 90's with a 150 HP V6.

Re: lookin for opinions

You'll probably miss it at some time or another.

I miss almost every vehicle I ever had.

But you will love the FJ.

Re: lookin for opinions

just updating, yea, dealer only offering me 17k is the biggest reason i don't wanna sellit. i do use it as a truck... sometimes, i have a quad and a bike, and a trailer, and i would have to switch to an enclosed trailer if i get the FJ. not a huge deal tho. in july my truck resale /retail was 26,500, now its still 25,700, but dealer trade in has plummetted, but they're retail is still high, so when ot snows here, some dealer, prob. mine, will make huge money on my truck.
oh, its only got 37k miles on it, si its just broken in, and its warrantied till 2010 too if thats rouses any more helpfull opinions. thx, Power
