Pre-damage Solution for chipped windshields.

Lots of people are talking about chipped and broken whindshield. I've been thinking of a product that might protect it from rocks bugs etc.

Try this link and see if you agree these tearoffs are worth a closer look.

This is a link to the pricing of the tearoffs. http://www.protint.com/productCat90512.ctlg

Man they're making them for race cars. They cost $32 to $80. so if we get them and put on the maximum 12 layers you spent about what a new windshield cost. It also appears that they may not last too long.

Can you say, 'against the law.' These are only legal on off-road, non street use.

Re: Pre-damage Solution for chipped windshields.

An interesting possibility. It does state that they are illegal for street use, so I don't know when I'd use them. Maybe if I'm wheeling in a big group they would prevent rock damage.

I wouldn't hesitate to use them on the street. Law or no law.
