Slicker than snot on the back roads. Under the snow the dirt/clay isn't frozen yet and it's slippery. Only went into the ditch twice though. Snow was so clean and even that I couldn't see any difference as to where the road ended and the ditch started and once I caught the edge it was over. Beautiful out though as it was fairly calm and not real cold.

Re: What did you do to your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Tested out the Duratracks that I bought yesterday at Browns Camp today.

Link to pics in Army Green thread

Trail 10 at University Falls northbound was a sloppy mess and had to back down and turn around.
Trail 13 Cedar tree from the top down was great. All wet with no mud. Very good traction in the rain.

it is one of the better rain tires, but it is not a highly rated mud tires. to get that you really need a mud tire. you have the best allround tire.

Biggest snowfall like this in some time. Usually we only get a couple of inches that melts in a few hours or blows away. This was a wet heavy snow too and it was pretty calm and nice today.

Re: What did you do to your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Finished getting my tire situation straightened out. Essentially 4 new Goodyear Duratrac's, 285/70/17 and now I have 2 for a spare (only one of the truck).

Also, FINALLY received my DO sliders from the group buy. Got those installed, cross-threaded one bolt (son of a!), but otherwise no issues at all. Changed the rear diff fluid. I don't know what the crap was in there, but it was very light weight and felt like water. Full synthetic Lucas Oil 75W-90 in it now...makes a HUGE difference. Now I need to get more and do the t-case/front diff.

Sorry for the crappy pic...
