Well, sorry for starting another thread, but I thought maybe others would appreciate this too. The wife's FJ got a boo-boo on Sat. She had an appointment with Patterson Toyota here in town on Tuesday afternoon right before she met with Allstate. Both did estimates which were pretty close to each other.
Here's where it gets strange. Patterson called this afternoon and said "Bring her in. The parts are here." I really expected a long, long wait. They had called on Wednesday afternoon and apologized that it was taking so long to locate the parts because they had to enter every part number manually into the system. They said the numbers weren't in their system yet. Still, they called today and said the parts were here already. I wonder if Gulf States Toyota had a hand in that?
It's a long list: Front bumper cover, left front bumper pad, grille, left park/signal/marker lamp assembly, hood panel, upper cooling tie bar, left fender panel, left fender liner, left fender wheel opening flare, left cowl/dash extension, roof panel, roof rack, and left quarter outer panel.
They estimate 48.2 hours body work, 25.1 hours refinish, 3.4 hours glass (to remove and replace both rear quarter windows), and $69.96 for a wheel alignment.
Needless to say, we are happy campers.
