Re: floor mat alternatives

I was thinking of getting Carbon fiber, diamond plate or brushed aluminum inserts where they have matching paint ones and carrying it down to the floor. What do you think?

You will be able to find some generic ones I'm sure at poopboys or any auto parts store for 20-30bucks.The only difference would be they wont have the FJ logo on them,No biggie to me

Re: floor mat alternatives

The FJ rubber mats are THICK and will hold a lot of melted snow.....Sure, you could go Weathertech or Pep Boys, but the Toyota FJ ones are really nice. The floorboards looked like they were indented and the mats fit in those areas perfectly.....

Thanks lightglass, Those are the all weather mats being offered, right ?

I don't care about having logo's etc, but if they match up w/ the indents and are thick that would be selling points for those.

Re: floor mat alternatives

If you can wait, weathertech and others will come out with mats for the FJC.

I have used weathertech in the past. Good mats, hold dirt, mud and water very well.

They are $90 nice....I think the $200 hit is for the 4 floomats and the cargo mat....The way I haul stuff, it needs a surface you can kinda slide the stuff on...The rubber mat material is too sticky to slide on, so, no Toyota cargo mat for me....But!!! the front mats are nearly an inch thick and neat looking.....
