So I recently thought it would be a good idea if I were to sell my FJ and buy a truck, talking myself, and my wife, into all the uses I could have for a truck with a bed (working in the yard, finishing the basement, etc.), and besides, before my FJ's (this is my second one) all I had were trucks. So I found a new 2012 Tundra Rock Warrior, Crew Max with the 5.7L V8, fantastic deal, and 0% on top of it. Not to mention a very fair trade in on my FJ. Before I pulled the trigger I told the salesman to let me get back with him in the morning so I can sleep on it. Going home that night I thought it was a done deal, but then I started thinking... I really LOVE my FJ. I've never been this uncertain about getting rid of a vehicle and I really lost sleep over it. I woke up the next morning and I couldn't do it. I called the salesman and he was very cool and understanding about it, turns out he has an FJ too!
So, although the Tundra was sweet (and plans of lifting it were already in the works), I had to pass. It's really amazing at how attached you can get to these things as owners... Happy FJ-ing!

i have thought about trading mine in for a 4runner trail, tundra, and even a tacoma. i just can't bring myself to do it. i love driving it more and more each day.
I had a 2005 Yamaha R1 that was my baby and my only source of transpiration. I was looking at buying a cheaper car so I could keep the bike. I got a wild hair in my bum and test drove the FJ. Needless to say, I sold the R1 and used that as a down payment for the FJ. Wish I had done it sooner. Happy to hear that your keeping yours!
Used to trade my vehicles every 3 years for a new one. I`ve had mine 6 1/2 years now and have no plans to ever get rid of it. It takes me everywhere I want to go.
