I know this isn't the sales forum, but I am not selling my rig yet, just considering it. I've got a 4X4, Brick Red '08 (my username was made the FJ before this one) with 111k miles. Never wrecked, no significant dents or scratches, no technical problems.
My extras are as follows:
-Lucrum Winch Mount bumper, painted to match the brushed metal of the wings.
-Viper 12k lb winch, unused.
-oem skid plate
-Brute Force cold air intake
-Gibson straight pipe dual exhaust
-Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers (less than 500 miles)
-3" Old Man Emu lift, less than 2k miles, never used offroad
-33" Goodyear Duratrac tires (4), less than 500 miles
-White wagonwheel steelies (4), less than 500 miles
-the original wheels and tires (in case the new owner wants to swap the stems and sell the rims to pay for it)
-2 6" Hertz speakers installed in custom pods in teh back seat
-8" JL subwoofer in custom, low-profile box
-Body mount chop done (high quality; done by NASA welder)
-Vortex side view mirros (convex for better visibility)
-still has factory spare and rim, untouched and unused
I really, really wish I could get 23k for it, but I know that may be a few thousand high. What do you guys think? It's hard to judge how well mods sell in the aftermarket, and FJs are fairly scarce in northern Alabama, so I have no frame of referrence.
$23k seems like a real push. Aftermarket mods won't add much value if any to the normal buyer. Find the right buyer and it could happen.
However, I think it'd be tough to even get $20k for it honestly. You still have the original OEM parts? It might be better to return it to stock and sell off the aftermarket stuff seperately.

X2, even if you don't have OEM parts it might be worth trading your after market stuff for OEM and cash then sell the truck stock.

I knew the aftermarket stuff would depreciate quite a bit in the aftermarket. I've never put this much into a vehicle (just a stereo and basic repairs), so I wasn't really sure what to expect or ask. Every FJ within 300 miles is bone stock, so it's hard to determine a price that is fair to both myself and the buyer.
There is a chance that the place I'm working may be closing in a few months, so I'm trying to get out from under it...just in case. I hate to do it, but the payments could sink me without decent income.
If he was going to keep it, this would be true. If he wants to sell it, he'll have to compete against for-sale FJ's with a lot lower miles and the only way to beat them is by lowering the price...a lot.

You're far better off looking for a stable employer than selling your reliable and fun vehicle that you have made such an effort to modify.
I mean, a Toyota, you can depend on. A boss? Not so much.
