FJ height clearance

I did a quick search for this but did not see it discussed.

I am looking to buy an FJ soon and was wondering about the clearance height on 4x4's with the roof rack. I want to keep it in the garage. My garage door clearance is right at 80.5". Toyota lists the 4x4 height at 72" but I assume that is not including the roof rack. It definitely seems well over 72" with the roof rack when standing next to one.

What is the actual measured height of the 4x4 with the roof rack? Any garage door clearance issues? I'd be looking to do a tire upgrade and possibly a small lift later.

Thanks.

You're right. I must've misspelled "height" when I first searched. Duh.

I know what you're saying; the crash bar where I park is at 6'6". I went in on a Saturday with a buddy on each side and charted a route in/out. Worst spot provided about 1" of clearance. Although it's not my daily driver it's good to have a place to park when I do bring it in.

I concur with this measurement...I even wrote it down in the "coin slot" on the center panel. (Little square space where I keep mints, etc...I wrote it with a silver marker so I don't have to think nor memorize anything.)

Re: FJ height clearance

I should clarify that measurement. It will clear at that height by @ 1/2" so if I come up to a garage that says 79" or 6' 7" I should make it barely!
