13 TT Should I or...

I am at a crossroads on a decision to get a a New 2013 TT .
Financing approved. Truck is being held, probably being detailed as we type.

No upgraded stereo, but mine is going in anyway. Roof rack , sliders, rear view camera, etc.

I just got off the phone with Radflo inquiring about sending my suspension in for a refresh. Camburg UCA's would be switched over.
Skid plates all transfer over but the HD bash plate. Bumpers are up for debate at this point. Lower links transfered over
I wanted a new Demello aluminum, but we will see. I think I may leave the rear Metaltech on the truck and get a different rear bumper.

Roof rack will be the new utility rack, with the actuator and all of my lighting.

Wheels and tires are up for debate

I haven't decided if I want Bushwackers yet.

The camera system will stay with wikid and I will build a new one for the TT
It is just integrated so well there is no sense in taking it out.

Opinions??

The sister to my TT Same dealership came in the same way , same day

Seems like more dollars to sink into virtually the same truck. Of you like the color, just paint yours. Unless you are worried about the mileage on wikid...of course you could always replace that in time too.

Unless money is not an issue, I say you're crazy. What hornsfan said, the only real difference is the color. Save money, go get it painted again

Re: 13 TT Should I or...

Miles , new truck, warranty a few of the motivating factors. I know it doesn't make sense, but sometimes it isn't about the most practical solution
I am still thinking..

No matter what you choose, your current rig is sweet and if you got the new TT and switched all that over than that would be sweet as well!

Re: 13 TT Should I or...

Don, I know exactly what you're feeling.

Sometimes you get to a point, and well... there's not much more to do on the build. Its fun to have a blank slate again to do it again differently. Hell, you already had Wikid repainted to satisfy some of that urge.

I say no on the bushwhackers since you've already run them. Plus I want to see your rig with those sweet Warrior fenders... or real, custom tube fenders.

I say go for if its what will make you happy... and you can make it work financially.

Pooh on Hornsfan! (He'll get to the point your at pretty soon at his rate.)

BTW- saw Jacques new TT a couple weeks ago at the TRDParts4U M&G. I drooled a little at the color. The TT Door sills are pretty sick too.

Totally understand where youre coming from. I kicked around the idea of trading my 2010 TT for a 13 and I dont have but a fraction of what you have done to your truck done to mine. I love the grey color, grey color matched seats, overhead crawl control, and door sills. I say go for it. For me its a finance thing but if you have that all squared and comfortable why not?! Not gonna lie Id love watching your new build on here too.

Re: 13 TT Should I or...

Are you gonna sell wikid and get this truck or have both?? I saw if the funds are there go for it! It's always nice to have something new! And you can use the new TT as a DD and then use wikid as a trailer queen!

Re: 13 TT Should I or...

I started with a 2008 and then went to the 2012.

Vehicles in general are never a good investment all though we would like to think so, FJ Highest Resale Value, yea they are good but they are still a luxary expense.

One of those thing you have to enjoy, which it appears you do.

I say that Cemnet sure would look good in you Avatar. Good luck with your choice.
