This is good news. It speaks to the inherent ruggedness of the build and design. Favorable outlook.

I knew the FJ had it in it. Way to go to the Millen's for building it and racing it to an awesome finish.

Well I guess the stock TRD FJ's are a little more than a painted roof and some TRD tags then eh?

See Toyota's FJ Cruiser Issue #2.

The only thing left on that TRD that is stock is the paint job.

I meant that Rod Millen and Co had a lot to do with the suspension upgrades on the SE. And it shows.

Re: FJ Cruiser takes second in class in Baja 1000

I noticed the Mitsubishi Raider started 1 minute 30 seconds behind the FJ Cruiser in the staggered start scenario. Realizing that 34 hours is a long time and who knows how many times one passed the other, one wonders in a close race if radio communication from the Mitsubishi team posted near the finish line (3 and 5 miles out) helped the Raider driver. The FJ's second place finish only 34 seconds behind the winner is really close, considering the entire race was 124,604 seconds long for the winner. The FJ Cruiser's average speed was 99.9727% of the winner's speed. In my book the FJ Cruiser meets the Ivory pure test.
