ouch, 1600 for a bumper... I can do 1300, but not more as the cost of shipping will have to be factored in as well. If I were rich though. Gotta leave room for other project and mods

Re: Flat Top or Single Hoop?

I'm not going to read through all these posts. So, my .02 might have already been said-

I like the single hoop. But if you really torn you could always get the flat top (it'll save money on shipping too) and add a hoop later if you decide you want one. ANY shop with a bender can make a hoop. PLUS, you could get the hoop EXACTLY to your liking (thicker, thinner, taller, shorter, wider, etc)

Flat Top or Single Hoop?

DO is killing me. I love their products and deals, but I have so many things to do to the FJ before I get bumpers (armor, tires and steelies, lift). And I'd love to get the Icons from them, which I probably will, but I'd love to have them install it for me but I'm in Ohio. Can you guys (ahem, Jason) please just open a small one man shop in Ohio for me? In Columbus we are within driving distance of something like 70% of the population in one day. That's a huge market (nudge, nudge).

I really wish you guys (or I) was closer. You really do great work Jason.

Re: Flat Top or Single Hoop?

Single hoop, and I will tell you why:

I was going to buy the flat top, and decided on the single hoop. After using it a bunch off road, I am glad I had the hoop. It gave me something to hold onto to get at the winch clutch, and to get to the other side of the vehicle. When your stuck in mud (which is all I have to play with around here) having that grab handle helps a lot. It also makes it look a bit different, which is good. You can mount lights to it as some have.

Evil Eye all the way...if you hoop it, extend the front end coverage!

Mike

BTW, if Expedition One does not make things a bit more affordable in Aluminum...I will have to turn to DO for the evil eye in Aluminum...which will be AWESOME!
