I know I know - That was before they hit the streets. Now that they're here I'm asking those who have one or have driven one if that's how they arrived. Chill on the f'ing search link.

My wife's '06 Camry has DRL. You turn them on/off with the same switch that the regular lights are on. It's just another position that you twist to. Hopefully the FJC's will be similar

This was one of the things I checked when I drove one,They do not have th extra switch position...I remember something about disabling the DRL it isn't to bad if I remember,My thought was to run it thru a toggle switch if for some reason you wanted it back on......As I remember its just a matter of unhooking one wire but I don't real witch one at the moment..So yes it is doable and they are only on the CQ packeged units witch makes no sence

What's the issue with DRLs? Up in Canukland they've been mandatory for about 15 years and actually do make it easier to see other vehicles. I guess I'm missing the downside - generally the manufactures just run a lower voltage through the regular headlights.

Yep, there was a well publicized study done in Europe about 20 yrs ago in which they found that on the hwy, vehicles with lights on had a lower accident rate, hence they are legally required in many countries.
