Why are optional TRD wheels 16 inch?

I've got a black MT coming in this week (CQ, UP, 3T, 11, 16, 19) and I want to replace the stock wheels. Anybody know why the optional TRD wheels are 16 inch? I'm looking for options that the dealer will give me some credit when taking back the stock wheels. Any syggestiuons would be appreciated.

16" is the smallest wheel you can run on the FJ and a smaller size wheel maximizes the sidewall you can run. Bigger sidewall helps offroad but is less ideal for on road handling.

Toyotas decision to offer a 16" optional wheel instead of a 17" or 18" is because of the intended use of the truck. Offpavement.
