OK, I know these are sort of old news, what with actual FJ's hitting the road and all, but I thought I'd post a few pictures of the FJ. These get pretty close to the actual color of the Voodoo Blue (to my eye and on my monitor--your results may vary).

Chicago area--so probably not yours, oldawg, unless the allocations REALLY got screwed up.
This is an A/T with CQ and UR. Current extras are floor mats (OK, but definitely nothing special) and running boards. The dealer didn't get some of the other extras that I (or the wife) wanted, so I'm taking it back next week to get XM satellite radio, armrest, rear door storage, and spare tire cover installed.
I'm glad I didn't get the roof rack. I think it would have fit in my garage at home, but it wouldn't fit into the parking garage at work. This isn't really a daily driver, but I may use it to commute at least occasionally. The parking garage I park in downtown Chicago has a clearance of 6'4", about 3 inches too short for the roof rack.
I'm happy to take any other pictures that people want to see--just let me know.

With all the confusion it probubaly is...LOL That would have been rather unpleasent to roll into the parking garage and leave the rack behind

Nice tease ! I've been going out of my mind knowing that my Voodoo Blue baby is in the dealership lot just waiting for me to drive her away. Less than 24 hours........................tic,toc,tic..
nice detail i think that looks like my fj. is it a mt? except the running boards
No. I initially asked for an AT, and that's what the dealer got. I flirted with changing to an MT, because the AWD would be better in Chicago inclement weather (of course, the AT is better in Chicago traffic, so there's a little trade-off there). But I could get the AT now, and the MT would be wait of at least a couple months, and my wife preferred the AT. So that's what I got.

ick.
Ouch. Mine was sitting right out by the street when I went to pick it up, and the general manager said he was hoping that I wouldn't show up on Saturday, so they could "borrow" it to bring traffic in to the dealership all day.
I have to say, this vehicle really draws a crowd. Every time I've parked it somewhere, people walk over and check it out. At the dealer, just about every family who came in stopped and had a look (we could watch the truck out the window while we were filling out paperwork). The looks you get on the road are just unreal--one guy in a brand-new Lincoln pickup truck almost wrecked it trying to get a look at me as he drove by.
Good luck getting yours soon! I'm sure you'll love it.
