Question Invoice?

Been lurking for a while, and even put down a deposit on a FJ, but I'm getting a bit of a run around. In any case, with my new found free time, I was wondering where you come up with the invoice price. I got a bit off of MSRP but I have no idea what the actual invoice was. Kinda a noob question as well, but is the invoice the price the dealer pays? How could anyone get a price below that? Thanks............................

This post is several months old and the base price of the FJ Cruiser models have increase $400 (MSRP). Open this - Future FJ Cruiser Buyers Only Hopefully you can open a zip file and have Excel on your computer. The accessories and options haven't changed much, if any. Even Edmunds doesn't know the invoice price since the two price increases (first on Sep 6 and second on or about Jan 3), because they post N/A. But for a good approximation just add $400 to the invoice price of this old spreadsheet. I built the spreadsheet to use during my dealer negotiations.

Re: Invoice?

Thanks. I was wondering how so many people knew the invoice. I can only assume that when people here are saying they got one for $XX above/below invoice this is what they're referencing. I still don't know how wnyine could get one for under invoice.

THANKS,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Re: Invoice?

I think many people use the term invoice to mean the price on the window sticker, which is actually Toyota's MSRP. Dealer invoice is the price Toyota bills the dealer before any volume discounts. I agree that probably no one has purchased an FJ from a dealer for a price less than dealer invoice.

I negotiated in June and signed a purchase agreement for a 4x4 AT (Silver) with CQ and DL (factory options) and roof rack, tow hitch and security system for $883 under MSRP. The FJ was delivered in October after a $200 price increase and $40 increase for delivery freight. However, I payed only my negotiated price, so saved $1123, less the dealer's $95 document processing fee. I still feel good about my purchase; no buyers remose for me.
