No FJC TV Commercials, Why?

How come Toyota does not advertise the FJC on television? Are they going to cotinue to make it? Will they keep production to just a coupke of years? I would think they would sell a lot more if they advertised the FJ on television.

Word of mouth is a whole lot better than TV at selling vheicles.... and a whole lot cheaper. The way people gawk at my FJ and aske me questions about it......each one is a rolling advertisement.

I realize word of mouth works well but Toyota advertizes every other vehicle on tv.

I would assume they don't advertise because they don't need to yet?
Us crazy kids keep buying them at an alarming rate

Re: No FJC TV Commercials, Why?

I guess what I am saying is.... they don't need to advertise the FJ. They've already sold far more than their objective in 2006 (without advertiseing) and 2007 looks just as good so far if not better.

Re: No FJC TV Commercials, Why?

They spend most of the money on Trail teams just showing what the FJ can do better then and Hollywood special effect jeep commercial. They also put alot into print ads with blueprints and specs. Very nice!!!

The dealers in Northern Virginia are not moving them that fast anymore, They are sitting on lots for extended periods of time down here.

Re: No FJC TV Commercials, Why?

decision by Toyota Motor Sales and its ad agency Saatch & Saatchi to avoid tv ads and instead use branded entertainment (e.g. the Speed channel episode) and ads in wheeler magazines, etc. to reach the target demographic more effectively

Re: No FJC TV Commercials, Why?

No need to yet. Their sales are stellar enough to have them spend money on other things.

The Toyota Prius is the same way.
