I need alot of LUCK!

My 2007 FJ with 59,000 miles I have only had her 3 months or so, is shuttering when changing gears (automatic). All of the scans come out clean, but the Tranny fluid is black. They are pulling the pan to check it this morning. Anywhere from 149.99$ to 2800.00$ for the repairs... WISH ME AND MY GIRL LUCK!

Re: I need alot of LUCK!

I know they are very different cars, but the transmissions run on the same concept: I had a 2008 F250 V10 Lariat 4X4 that was about 20k miles over the service interval on the trans. It was starting to shudder and flare on up-shifts, so I wend ahead and had the fluid flushed and after that it was like new again!

I've had the same on two other vehicles as well. A good flush with fresh fluid and the slipping was gone along with any shuddering.

Re: I need alot of LUCK!

i have never had a problem because i have a standard transmission... if it is not under warrenty see if any of your redneck friends can help you with the work if you buy the parts... you will probably save several thousand dollars

I had a 2007 and the shuttering problem between 2-3 gears resulted in a new transmission for $2800.
It was a Toyota Rebuilt and the failure occurred at 103K.
You should change the fluid, and good lucků.gm
