It's that time of the month again. How's Toyota doing meeting their 2007 Projected Monthly Sales goals? Quite well. Nostradamus would be proud.

This is interesting stuff.

I would think a 13% increase (accounting for the short selling month) would make Toyota mgmt. happy. I did my part in contributing to the increase.

Mine either -and I'm still waiting for my commission check from toyota. I mean the least they could do is pay me for the number of people that have stopped me to ask how I like the rig

Re: February '07: Monthly FJ Cruiser sales 5,040

I have to chuckle a bit when I see people on this board make outlandish predictions like, "Toyota will discontinue the FJC after 2008" or "The FJC will be a collector's item once they stop making them in 2009."

When you sell 66,000 units in the first year that's a pretty sure sign that there is solid demand for the car and it's a winner. Nissan X-terra sold 50,000 units in their first year (1999) and they're still pumping those trucks out 8 years later.

Toyota will sell 300,000 of these by 2011.

Nooooooooooooo! Say it isn't so... That would mean about 10,000 possers and wannabes will show up and crowd the 2011 FJ Summit.

I like the uniqueness factor. Maybe if they retire the TI color along the way then I wouldn't mind...

Feasible, but highly improbable. The FJ is a great vehicle, but is not mainstream enough to reach those numbers IMHO in 4 years. Of course, I've been wrong before and time will tell.

75,000 times 4 equals 300,000. Very doable.
