The price is right.

My FJ is now safely tucked away in my garage for it's first night, and it's got me thinking about the price.

I paid $33,400 CAD for my new toy. Now I've driven an X5, a Lexus RX300 (ok, it's a Toyota ), a Land Rover Freelander, a H3 and a few others........all vehicles with a much higher price tag. The build of my FJ is far superior. Ok, it doesn't have sat nav, or heated leather seats, no locking fuel cap or vehicle security system, but the way it drives and feels on the road, the way the doors go clunk, the workmanship and finish, have Toyota really underpriced this vehicle?

Re: The price is right.

I feel it is a vehicle to establish Toyota in the US as a "serious" truck manufacturer.

It will gain a lot of attention as it gets looked at closer by the consumer. A lot of the folks will buy a 2007 Tundra, after seeing how it's built for the money.

The build up of Toyota credibility to the truck buyer has begun

Love YA, Mean it!
