Project FJ 60 Cruiser

I came across this today on ebay and thought it might make a good project car if it can be bought right.

That's really low miles for a 60, but there's a lot of rust. 60-series body parts are getting harder to find and there's not a big aftermarket for them like 40's. If you have or can buy a good welder you could redo a lot of the body work yourself.

3F motors are pretty easy to work on, but big, long, and heavy if you have to take it out. You won't have to take it out to R&R the head gasket. The rings and bottom end should be good for well over 200,000 miles if it hasn't been abused.

Without seeing it in person, I wouldn't pay more than $1,000-1,500 for it.

the FJ-62 was introduced in '88 with the 3FE (injected) motor, but I thought the 3F (carb) motor preceeded it in the later 60-series. You are probably right though - I've worked on a bunch of 62's but for whatever reason never a 60.
