Purchase Priorities.... not sure what to go for first!

Ok... that's not entirely true. Before Christmas I upgraded to BF Goodrich tires......

But now I'm trying to work my way down my wish list:

Black Steel Wheels: $250
Rock Rails: $300
Tint: $???
Hi-Lift: $49.99
Hi-Lift mount: $89.00
Axe Mount: $89.00
Winch Kit: $49.99
Bandi Mount: $49.00
CB Radio $100.00
Demmeco Bumper $660.00

I currently have rougthly $250 to $300 I can divide up. Not sure which to go for first. Do I go for a big item, or do I knock out several of the smaller items.....

It depends on how much and how difficult the wheeling is that you do.
If you do lots of wheelen then I would do protection in the form of sliders and skids, and also a CB. After that I would go on to Hi-Lift and such and then down the list

Have fun and good luck.

Re: Purchase Priorities.... not sure what to go for first!

Based on your list I'd say go and get yourself some rock rails. Armor-up!

since you already have the tires, then it would be safe to say that you do not have a wheel or tire purchase predicated on one another. That being said, all the smaller purchases will eat up 300 bucks pretty quick as well.

Much of the smaller recovery items can be purchased one or so months at a time, and if you are going out with others anyway, chances are the recovery gear will be there. My point is, don't allow your 300 bucks get subdivided on expensive mounts at this point. The overall protection and recovery gear should be the priority.

I agree with the previous posts. Protect your investment. Save your money for :
RockRails
Skids
Lift

If the money is burning a hole in your pocket:
Bandi Mount and CB
HiLift and Mount

Hey Scott.
I would agree with 5star. Rock rails will be my next purchase as well. I can't tell you how nervous I was a few weeks ago following three FJ with rock rails and 3" lift kits around in Tn. come to think of it.... You could buy me some rock rails and not have to worry about having an extra $300.

I highly recommend starting with some solid sliders/rock rails.

I have the Toyota rock rails but if I were to do it again, I'd probably do the trailgear. Can't beat that price! ($300 I believe).
