Re: Miles after gas light comes on?

Mine seems to have about 4 gallons left when the light comes on, although I have no desire to dry the tank down to the last ounce just to determine the actual range left in the tank. Your actual mileage may vary.....

3.5 to 4 gallons. Like 50 miles is a good rule to follow.

Re: Miles after gas light comes on?

When "topped off" it holds 16.5 gallons. The light comes on with <4 left. Depending on your right foot, you'd get @50 miles before you're dry.

I know this from experience!

Cool Re: Miles after gas light comes on?

I drive the 2007 Limited Edition Manual Short Throw FJ 4x4. Mine comes on at exactly 4 Gallons left nearly everytime, its a 19 gallon tank, So my total range is 294.5 miles + or - maybe .5...i usually get 15.5 MPG average. (I keep a log) Today I just got my highest MPG @ 16.5 MPG @3,800 Total Engine Miles. Wondering if this gain is due to the engine break in.

I am possibly installing the TRD intake and will record any noticable increase in MPG.
