Ordered the FJ Rear Door Storage

FYI

I order the rear door storage from ToyotaPartsPeople.com. They were great and very fast delivery. What suprised me was that all the pictures (and not just ToyotaPartsPeople.com) show both the top and bottom storage, but the $40 only ships one. Just in case you were thinking about order the door storage too.

Re: Ordered the FJ Rear Door Storage

I know what you mean. I ordered a while back thinking there was two storage nets. It finally came and it was only one. Kinda expensive for one storage net imho.

Re: Ordered the FJ Rear Door Storage

Real expensive for one net, but what you going to do......

While you are in there, put a switch in (at least right at the back door like I did) for the rear hatch hack

Re: Ordered the FJ Rear Door Storage

I have the 2 storage nets in the rear door -- love them. Then I got the cargo area cover, thinking it might keep things from becoming projectiles in an accident. Then, after having some cargo fall out parked on a hill, I got the net that covers the whole cargo area -- THAT was going to be expensive, but I talked the parts guy down 20 bucks.

I had the same surprise happen to me when I ordered the back door nets. Some sites are nice enough to say that you should order two. Obviously I didn't see that before I ordered mine.

In fact, I still haven't ordered the second one yet, but I plan to soon. If you put the first net in the bottom location you will get a lot of use out of it. It seems to be a lot roomier than the top.

Re: Ordered the FJ Rear Door Storage

Do they send all the mounting hardware with it? I see some places have a part # for the hardware kit.

Thanks for the hint

Yes, it appears that all the hardware is there. The kit basicly just consists of the storage net, some clips, and a paper template. You have to tape the template on the back door so you know where to drill. Not really the design I was hoping for.

Re: Ordered the FJ Rear Door Storage

Luckily I noticed it before purchasing, so I put the money to something else...

Here are some other storage options that, although are not specifically for the FJ could offer cheaper solutions...
Cargo Storage Nets & Bags
aaaand, for the Über modder:
Netting products for all applications.

Re: Ordered the FJ Rear Door Storage

I paid $29 for the extra door net at the dealership. THey asked some outrageous price, and I said that that is what it costs online, and so that is what he charged me, no problem.

Re: Ordered the FJ Rear Door Storage

i have the one that came with it. I really use it a lot for Winston's stuff (treats, leash, harness etc). 2 would be even better.
