Re: 8k damage to FJ

Someone isn't playing with a full deck... not only did this person screw up his FJ... screwed up the environment and trails for the rest of us responsible folk.... But, they dont even know how much of an idiot they are... c'mon braggin about it? Wow.. there isnt a stupid stamp big enough.

Dude... If I were you. Which I am glad I could never be. But, hypothetically, if I were you... I would change my name... sell my FJ (cuz you dont deserve it) and leave the country quick. Maybe head to the Amazon... they like f'n up the environment and trees down there too. You'ld fit right in.

Re: 8k damage to FJ

Please post the video, maybe the Forest Service will see it and prosecute you. Stupid move going around a blocked road, really stupid move cutting down a tree, totally moronic to brag about it here. This is exactly why some people want to shut down roads to vehicle use. Get some education before you leave the asphalt again.

we can only hope that he that he was drunk and that this all occurred in a suburban neighbor hood and he only thought he was wheeling.

P!ssed off neighbor who's is missing one tree, on the left side of his automatic gate really wants to see the video of the @sshole who trashed his yard.

Re: 8k damage to FJ

Guys, he said it was blocked off. He never said it was closed. Many objects (trees, large rocks, something man made) could have blocked the road and caused him to try and go around.

Cutting down a tree isn't cool... but that MAY have been the only thing he did wrong. Seems to me like he just didn't think before he acted and got his truck fawcked up. If he was being a tool and tried to go through a closed trail then yeah, Karma's a *****.

Re: 8k damage to FJ

Okay... It's hard to give him the benefit of the doubt... because most of us can't think of a solid reason to cut down an entire tree. Oh yeah, thats because we stay on the trail where there aren't any trees. If the trail is blocked off then fix the obstruction on the trail... dont avoid it! A downed tree is the only time I have ever needed to use my axe.

Where's the video? That should tell the tail.

Re: 8k damage to FJ

That happened to us (notice we're on the wrong side of the fence).

This after a 5 HOUR trail. We looked for ways around the barriers (the freeway was 10 yards in front of the barrier), no luck.

Ended up calling the Forest Service, they arrived in about 30 minutes and let us out. Only other option was turning around and doing the 5 hours in the dark.

Lol...I've done the exact same thing. Started on a completely open trail on one end and finished many hours later at the closed end. Luckily for me, the gate wasn't locked...just closed. I wasn't 10 yards from the freeway...it would have been a couple of hours waiting for the forest service. I wasn't looking forward to driving back out the way I came, but I would've instead of going around.
