Question: Is the class action against Toyota USA only or against Toyota as whole?
There is no lawsuit filed, just the beginnings of negotiations with a law firm who says they will do it. Months and months of negotiations will take place before actual court papers will be filed, if ever. Only time (and $$$) will tell how this turns out...

Long-Term Road Tests

This link has been posted before , and other people have had the same problems where the windshield would spider out and crack in opposite sides. "I'm calling bull**** on this." call bull **** on that? woohoo

Just an example, sorry if I give hard evidence to refute your bull**** assertion.

If you guys don't want my help, just say the word and I will stop trying to help. I am spending a considerable amount of my spare time on this problem that i could dedicate to other things.

Hey, I hope you get somewhere with this, I really do. I just think nothing will come of it. I hope I'm wrong.

Thanks for your help! I dont know why anyone would complain about someone being pro active to help fix an issue like this. It does take a lot of time! There are numerous posts about these issues, not just from one person...

It's not like its a class action lawsuit because the cupholders fall off and you spill coffee on yourself ?

Ron, I appreciate your help on this. I just wasn't expecting a law suit. Maybe some press time with the media but had no idea this would spin into a web of lawyers. Maybe a lot of us are just a little shocked. Give it time to sink in..

Re: FJ Windshield Class Action Lawsuit Has Begun

I had to replace my windshield once already, but I'm on the fence about the lawsuit. Someone already posted on what excess lawsuits are costing us all. I think the best situation would really be if Toyota just manned up and admitted they could have done a better job on this - but that probably won't happen without the right kind of stick.

Freakin Amen to that. Guys what will it take, everyone to have to shell out $1400 how many times over before we get fed up and do something about it?

If you dont want on board thats fine, but keep the " Class action suits dont result in jack $hit" and the negativity off the post. This is for everyones benifit what is so hard to see about that.

Go ahead, flame away. I'm a big boy and can take it!!

This is not just for cracked windshields, it is also for pitted and chipped windshields. You will see this if you go to the link below and register.

Re: FJ Windshield Class Action Lawsuit Has Begun

yes, my FJ has a small spider crack in it, and it is pitted to all heck. I dunno, as most of you guys stated here, the only winners in class actions are the attorneys. I am glad the efforts are being made to make FJ owners happy, but what kind of a solution do you guys and gals foresee?
New windshield design? Extended warranty? We all know that the real problem is the angle the windshield is on, how could that possibly be changed? Just rambling....
