www.go4x4.eu

I have my FJ since april and took it off-road twice now - I got so enthusiastic about the car and offroading in general that I started a website called Life starts where the road ends - go4x4.eu! - Home featering test-drives of 4x4 cars, stories and pics from local offroad events as well as offroad trips in Africa, Australia etc. and the latest news regarding new 4x4 vehicles. Moreover, there is a section on historic 4x4 vehicles (like the development of the Land Cruiser series). It focuses on the European market, but check it out if you want! If you want to tell your off-road story on my website, just send me some pics and a few lines about your latest trip and I'll put it online!

By the way, it's still kinda under construction, but I got a lot done the past few days....there will be more and better content every month and I hope to have a pretty nice and comprehensive 4x4 site by the end of the year!

That's what i wanna know and what are you doing about parts and service over there?

EDIT: also kudos on the page... still looks a little bare but i'm sure you still have lots of plans for it... kinda funny how the Swedish (I assume) plates don't quite fit next to the spare tire on the FJC...

Re: www.go4x4.eu

I got the FJ via an independent dealer specialized on importing US Cars in Stockholm (actually there are 3, 4 of those so I could even choose the one who made me the best preliminary offer).......not that big of deal, just told him which FJ I wanted and then he talked to his partner dealer in the US who helped him finding a vehicle which fits my specifications.....I first wanted on ordinary black one (the "skunk"), but then my dealer told me that his US partner had a TRD incoming...so I went for the TRD.

Regarding the spar parts: the FJ sells "pretty good" for an import car (they sell a couple each month here in Stockholm), so each of these 3,4 above mentioned dealers having some spar parts in stock...what they don't have in stock, they order from the US...takes a bit more time, but you can still be sure to get all the parts needed.....I could also order after market parts from my dealer, but that would take extra time and the parts become of course much more expensive than they are in the US.

Service and warranty claims are handled by my local dealer, as Toyota offers world wide warranty no prob.

FJ-Greetings from Stockholm!

Re: www.go4x4.eu

Well, I don't pay taxes in Sweden (working for the embassy), so all in all I paid ~33k for my TRD....usually it would be around 45-50k in most European countries.
