Re: New ARB Tent Information

Well, I waited and waited for these. Who was it, a toyo dealer in TX that months ago said there were some in the container coming over from Au. Never got a price, or anything else.

So after all of that I bit the bullet and purchased an autohaus tent, from Italy. Arrived last night, will unpack it today. If all goes well, everyone can check it out at the Summit!!

Re: New ARB Tent Information

Looks nice but the bad part is the rig has to be sitting there doing nothing to use the tent. I would rather put up a tent and drive the FJ like it was meant to be. My nickel.

I have to agree. For that kind of money you could buy an awsome tent and lots of other gear.Unless you are really scared of snakes.

Re: New ARB Tent Information

I really like the idea of not sleeping on the ground...quick set up quick take down and no water running into the tent on the ground.....Plus the wife might wanna come to...

Re: New ARB Tent Information

One other thing. Does the tent price include the ARB rack, as in they are one total unit? From the pic it looks like a special rack, not even the standard ARB model for the FJ. If it doesn't, then add the price of the rack as well, because the factory roof rack is only rated to 165lbs.

Re: New ARB Tent Information

If you are camping and wheeling for say a weekend or a week, it would kind of be a drag to take camp down every day to go wheeling. If you are on Safari and are travelling every day it is a different thing altogether and would be perfect.
