New ARB Tent Information

For those of you interested...

Chris at ARB USA sent me a PDF today with information on the new Simpson II rooftop tent and other related products. It should be available stateside in the next couple of months. He did say that the prices mentioned in the document should be considered as ballpark only. I would love to see one in person!

Feel free to download the PDF here.

Oh man...that's the funniest thing I've heard all day.

I remember reading a post sometime last week looking at different rooftop tent models. Although not out yet, I think this will be a great alternative to Eezi-Awn and the various other models out there. In fact, the manufacturer of this tent was Open Sky, an Australian company recently purchased by ARB.

My wife and I think it would be a great alternative to hauling around a tent and cots - this would make it much easier to enjoy that perfect (usually rocky and uncomfortable) spot by the river. Set up is supposed to be a 2-minute affair. We may even get the attachment that goes to the ground for our dogs.

I know...rooftop tents definitely have their pros and cons...but I think they are a great idea. They can be pricey, but ARB assures me that the quality is top notch and should last many, many years if properly used and cared for.

I know a certain SouthEast Moderator that needs to add this to his mod list to go with his ARB roof rack.

Re: New ARB Tent Information

Thanks for the info, I've been looking forward to this. A nice alternative to spending thousands on a pop up camper.
