Good places to Offroad in Georgia?

I'm very new to offroading and don't know many good places to go... I searched around and found quite a few trails, but I want to make sure they are wide enough for the FJ (FJ safe should I say) I would hate to get pinned. I live in Atlanta. If any of you have been on some neat amateur\newbie trails in Georgia that you would recommend, please tell me as I am looking to go on one this Friday possibly, thank you!!!

Re: Good places to Offroad in Georgia?

First rule of wheeling - Never go alone. No matter how simple or easy the trail is, you never know what can happen!

I know the other ATL guys/gals are going to be tied up with quite a bit for the rest of June but I'm looking to get out on the Peachtree Industrial Powerlines and a few others around Cumming with smaller mixed group of Jeeps and other 'Yotas. Just three or four friends of mine, really. If you want to join shoot me a PM and I'll keep you updated on what we decide to do.

Listen to BMThiker, though. Keep your eyes on the SE forum. The ATLFJC's are the reason I know anything about my FJ and how to drive it!

Re: Good places to Offroad in Georgia?

If you like sand, mud, trails, or just making your own path through a clear cut pine forest, some small obstacles, I have just the place to come visit in Albany. Only three hours south of you!
