Talking OME from Metal-Tech

I've been shopping (and saving) for a lift and tires since before I bought my FJ. I finally got enough money together to do it. This forum has been a great resource for me. So, first off thank you everyone! I decided to go with the OME Medium all around and BFG AT KO 285/70R17 on my stock steelies. I got the lift from Mark at Metal-Tech. I have to stop and take a moment and say how great my experience was. Mark was awesome! Great customer service, he went out of his way to try to get me the lift ASAP. He also threw in a FJ duffel bag that is really nice (I think it's going to be my new shooting bag.) and two magazines. It's nice to see people go the extra distance. The lift was 694.95 shipped and the tires were 991 with alignment. I bought the tires at Jack Furrier's. I love the new look and can't wait to take it off-road.
Cheers!
Steve

Re: OME from Metal-Tech

I'm pissed now. I bought my OME lift from them too and no Fj duffel bag, is it big enough for recovery gear?

It's about 9" wide and 20" long. Not very big but really nice. OD green. How long ago did you get your lift?

Re: OME from Metal-Tech

I got my lift in May. Same price as you. Just need a free weekend to install it, it's currently on my garage floor Sounds like the size might hold my recovery strap. I am looking for something to hold my recovery gear so I can just grab a bag and toss it in the truck and go.

Re: OME from Metal-Tech

I'm going to put some pics up after this weekend. Going out of town so no off-roading for me until next weekend I can't wait to see if there is much of a difference.

Mike,

Sorry man I picked those up mid May when I was at the TLCA Great Smokey Mt. Trail Ride (Metal-tech sponsored the event) in Tellico TN. Your order shipped before this event. When I got back on the 21st of May I have handed them out with FJ Cruiser orders and the North West FJ Cruiser club for June and Aug. events. I will see the West Coast team (I think… Ron you out there you up at Rubicon?) in the next week for the TLCA “Rubithon” run on the Rubicon Trail in Nor cal. Never know, I might have a few new thing to share.

A Metal-tech US Made Pint glass just got loaded up and is headed your way. (Contents not included!)

Enjoy!

Szleeve: Thank you for the kind words! Enjoy your new lift and shooting bag! I use my bag for recovery gear in the FJC. (I use my FJ Cruiser back pack for my shooting bag!)

Mark

Re: OME from Metal-Tech

The FJC Bags are very nice! Mark sent two out for our NWFJCC Father's day run coming up. I think only one will make it to the run though
