Thumbs up 2000 mile trip in fj, nothing but praises!!!

Took the fj from western carolina mountains with my family 4 of us, and all of our things, drove to williamsburg va andspent the week running to and fro, to jamestown, newport news, yorktown, and back. then ran down to the outer banks of nc. then across back to mountains in western side. nothing but praises. good mileage and comfort. nope no complaints. but i did get into a lot of conversations with curious on lookers and bikers even praised it. 21 mpg on the road with air on and i am happy with that my wifes mini van gets 20. so imo the fj is here to stay. there is one complaint i wish i had another trip with it soon. what fun it was.....

Re: 2000 mile trip in fj, nothing but praises!!!

September '06 I drove from Washington D.C. to Orange County, CA with my family of four, and the trip was perfect. I had the FJ fully loaded, plus a U-Haul small aerodynamic trailer on the back, and the FJ never let us down. It was a smooth ride all the way. The FJ had plenty of power for passing, hills, mountains, etc... The trip total was about 2800 miles.

Sounds like a fun trip. Lots of history up there.

Isn't that the truth.

Also a new FJ owner here in Raleigh.. I took it over the mountains through W VA over to Louisville KY for a long weekend and back, great ride and the Cruzer did great. I'll post some pics later, during the weekend I put on a Aries bull bar and side steps, looks pretty bad azz if I do say so myself.
