I finally got my TRD stuck

Why must people be such asshats?? Hole was 27" deep (measured the high watermark after the fact) Shouldn't have had an issue, but someone had thrown several tires an logs in the bottom of the hole, which high centered me w/ stock suspension. I know w/o getting hung up the hole wouldn't have been an issue.

needless to say a rescue kit and winch and bumper will be a purchase before lifting the TRD, either that or I will invest in a portable winch and make a mount for the front of the FJ.

Re: I finally got my TRD stuck

That's why holes should be probed first and also why people need to crawl through water and not run and gun. I'm guessing you crawled or you would have broken something. Sorry about the "stuck". It happens to all offroaders at some point or you're not testing your limits.

Agreed. And, that should be done when you're off-roading as well.

Re: I finally got my TRD stuck

no pictures of me being stuck, didn't have the camera w/ me, but I'll run out and take some photos of the hole so you all know that this hole could stick your FJ!

I was crawling, but once I went over the first "something" I was stuck. It was rather a fun time, I didn't even get muddy getting out! And the cleanup of the FJ took less than two hours inside and out. After cleaning I did notice that my pumpkin was also sitting on the ground.
