Re: Should we force Air to come to the Summit?

Mud-

There should have been another voting category- Extradordinary Rendition (Planned Political Kidnapping) of Air. I mean, it's not like the US Government doesn't DO this sort of thing. Now the FJ forum isn't the government (yet) since there are no dues to be paid and you can't go to jail for not paying dues -- however I'm sure that's coming.

Kidnapping operations are initiated with a political requirement calls for the implementation of the kidnap capability. The operation first takes form as a project outline, which, in broad terms, acknowledges the following elements:

1. Desired result of the kidnapping
2. Principal target
3. Sub-targets
4. Anticipated personnel requirements
5. Anticipated technical requirements
6. Anticipated support requirements
7. Anticipated cost
8. Security and cover
9. Obstacles to the operation
10. Assessment of risk inherent in overcoming obstacles
11. Assessment of damage should the operation be compromised (at all stages)

This activity may be either political or military in nature, though it may proceed from what we would regard as mercenary motives. The deed of kidnapping exists apart from the kidnappers as personalities and definite political or military objectives are deemed served by the kidnapping. In this instance, the target will be kidnapped no matter who the kidnappers happen to be.

It may sound like doubletalk. Think of what George Orwell said, "Political language...is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind -- however, what it means is that there are enough capable and trained people on the forum to snatch Air from the comfort of his home, take him to the Summit, force him to ride in somebody else's FJ (if he's not able to drive his own) and return him at the end of the Summit.

Since there has been no vote, there can be no relocation of Air.

However, Air should be aware -- that he's needed at the Summit!

Lest anyone think that the above is SERIOUS, please know that it's a friggin joke! Sometimes those on this forum take some of my posts too seriously.

Well, I think his last sentence about it being a joke was part of the "double talk" he mentioned earlier and you ought to be freaked out, yep.

The part about being compelled to pay dues to belong to the forum or risk incarceration?
