Does anyone know if the fj trail teams have lift kits on their fjs. I noticed that they had arb bumpers on the front and was wondering if they were just on the stock shocks?
I'll go one further. I would like a COMPLETE LIST OF MODS that the trail team has...and don't give me BS about running stock Bridgestone H/T's of the sort my ride came with.
If anyone has that, please post it.

I know they have a lift, but not sure of the brand. They have budbuilt full skids. I think most are running on BFG's A/T, but they look like 285's to me, not stock 265's. ARB bumpers with winch. Stock rock rails. Go here and look at the pics.

Last year the Trail Teams all ran stock FJs with the exception of the full under body skids. I believe the armor was made by Budbuilt but it is far more extensive than the skids offered to the public. They even had skids welded on the underside of the factory rock rails. This was done so the trucks could take the punishment of novice wheelers test driving the trucks at every Trail Team Event. The idea was to show off the stock capabilities of these rigs.
This year they are lifted (Rev Tek I believe) and have the larger 285 tires, beefed up LCA mounts and some other mods. The ideas is to show what the trucks can do with mods.

Not true, they had at least one lifted FJ per team

the teams went thru several sets of skids. The ones you are describing were from TLC

Getting closer...
Each team started this year with one BAJA FJ replica (TRD FJ), one stock FJ and one modified FJ. Plus a 4runner and much bigger trailers.
All had Bud Built skids. Do they still??
Modified FJ's had 2.5" RevTek lift, ARB bumper, Warn winch, BFG A/T's
Did you want a list of what CB's the TV's and guitars and all that other crap too?

Well --- since you asked --- yes I would.
I have extra skids under my sliders (in addition to full Bud Builts) too and having off-roaded for a big piece of my life am of the opinion that over building the armor isn't really over building.
I was curious about how the trail team tackled the matter since the stock skids can't stand much of a romp (pot metal) and as a "trail team" they'd be bound to have problems if they ran stock for very long. The Toyota sliders aren't much to write home to mom about either IMO.

From personal experience, I went to 3 different Trail Team events last year and none of the West Team's FJ's were lifted at the time. Maybe they got a lifted one later in the year but intitially none were. I won't say the team members were complaining but there were several conversations had about the effects the heavy ARB's had on clearance of the stock trucks.
They'll be back out here in August so I can take pix and get additional first hand info it there's still interest. Who know's what they'll have left when then get here . . . and when they leave.

Let's see -- Ron had a lifted one, west coast lead driver, and he was on the Rubicon in June. His and Chris' were lifted at 4x4Labs in Grass Valley the week of Rubithon, 2006. They installed the revtek lift, and since "legal" signed off on that lift, they were sort of stuck with doing it again this year.
The two on Rubithon this year (the Baja driven by Robbie, and the blue driven by Chris) both were lifted, and had the 32 or 33" BFG A/T's (forgot to check). They did fine, with a couple of little dents and a scratch on the ARB bumper.

285/75R16 BFG All-Terrain tires is what I have on the little parts list. (Not that I was there when they were built or anything )
A scratch!!! oh the humanity!!! My dollar is on Robbie for the dents
