Navy here!!! Was in from 93-97. Work on aircraft and spent some time in the Gulf enforcing the no fly for Saddam after the first gulf war. It was real hot up there by Iraq. But hey I got to see the world and I had fun, as much fun that could be had on a carrier in the middle of the ocean.
Army/NSA - Urgent Fury '83 Grenada; Just Cause '89 Panama. Missed Iraq August 1, 1991 could not get a plane out of Pope AB. I collected "things" for exploitation against other enemys/hostile nations. Retired '96 and moved to the beach!
Sorry, I watched Desert Storm in the Dormitory at Whiteman AFB (with a keg and a bunch of hootin' and hollerin' as the first Sortie of the war came back without a scratch).
Closest I got to combat was cooking for Marines and Army (10th Mountain).
My hat goes off to you all though, who put your butts on the line while schmo's like me drank beer and watched tv.
If you were a bad cook then, you may qualify as a 'combat' vet. Services are always apreciated. Than you.

yes, but at least you had the thing in you to sign your name on that dotted line and swore to uphold and defend our country.
and to that, a thousand thanks to you and to all other VETERANS out there.
Nothing wrong with that. If we had to use the B-2s at Whiteman AFB during Desert Storm, that would have meant things had gone horribly wrong. B-2s didn't carry conventional weapons back then...
