Re: Benz??? Off roading Truck??

The U-500 Civilian Unimog is the most impressive off-road ride I've seen. The question for us all is IF we had the 200K Unimog, would we take it down rocky, brushy trails and beat the crap out of it?

Yeah we would!!!

Re: Benz??? Off roading Truck??

My neighbor has two of them. I have no idea what year they are, but I know that they have tons of accesories for them. You can even get a backhoe attachment for them.

I think the neighbor has a truck bed on one and some sort of compartment rear for the other. It looks like it might have been some sort of first aid station thingee.

If I'm not mistaken, there is even a PTO option for them.

Re: Benz??? Off roading Truck??

I could do a lot of great and impressive things with a Unimog, such as:

-clear the roads in the winter with either a blade or snow blower
-pull anybody and anything out of mud or snow when they get stuck
-pull logs out of the woods - who needs a tractor when you have a 'mog
-somehow never get stuck in traffic - if traffice stops you just keep going right over everybody else
-rescue stranded folks in flooded area
-Oh yeah, and basically go any dang place I want regardless of the terrain
