The Long Haul

ok so as everyone shouts "toyota reliability" i would like to see some more facts. what kind of mileage does everyone have on their FJ and what kind of problems have you had if any major, brakes and tires etc need not be mentioned....and i'm sure someone will mention having to constantly change oil.

so lets see, it mileage and problems. me first.
7825....no problems if this actually develops any interest perhaps a highest mileage FJ thread will emerge, once again if anyone gives a shhhhh

Re: The Long Haul

My FJ has about 9k on it and nerry a problem, I guess the only real problem is that every week I have to put gas in it. It must have a hole on the fuel system somewhere, but i cant find it.

Reliability??? I had some goofball at a job site baggin on me for not buying American. I had him pick out his ride (5 or 6 year old Dodge pu). I then told him I'd been faithfully driving Toyota since the late 80's and that I had Never been towed or broke down. I asked him how many times he'd been towed in that POS, he shut up, mumbled something and hasn't spoke to me since. haha

84 Reg cab - bought used - 240k on the 22r - Sold
97 Tacoma - Bought new - sold at 220K - original clutch, alt, water pump, everything except a battery or two and tires. I really luved that truck.
00 4Runner - 75k - Totalled by a stupid kid cutting across a ditch to get on the freeway(#SShole) But still not a problem ONE.
04 4Runner - Bought new - 80K - Wifes ride, all good except new rotors on front (they warped)

As far as Toyota reliability.... I dont know anything about that

Oooh what a feeling!!!!

Re: The Long Haul

I'm at 15 months and 21,500 miles right now with absolutely no problems.

Here's a link back to my 1-year stats and gas mileage for the year:
