What.....You mean being a LEO is nothing like the TV show CHiP's? Then it has to be like "SWAT" then. Not a LEO but I work for the police from time to time setting up the Networking and communications equipment and 911 Call Centers. I also did a Conference Room/Command Center for the FBI in Socal a few years back. Now talk about high tech. I have a lot o friends in L.E.

City Copper in Richardson Texas. Working as an SRO in a jr high right now. Spent the last 16 years on Motors. Just got our new Honda ST1300's when I left. A friend of mine had a White/blue fj40 in high school,it was cool. Always wanted to get one, Now I have a new and improved one. Love it!!!
If I'm ever pulled over speeding thru Richardson, I'll say I know you!
Active, full-time police sergeant in one of the worst policing areas in the free world. I bought the FJ to replace a VERY COOL Mustang Mach 1, as I did not wanna stack miles on that car - it just didn't deserve that. But now that I have the FJ, I'm finding more reasons every day to love my choice of new vehicles!!
I can be seen in the "Show Yourself" thread in Off Topic, on duty next to my 1965 Mustang that is still in my garage. That pic was taken last year while I was still in San Dimas area. Aww heck, here it is.....
Another LEO here...Uncle Sammy's Bureau. Don't hold it against me!
I'll say "we" bought it because it's my wife's primary ride. I'd told her how cool they were and she got a little interested. She does a lot of trail running at parks that are off unimproved roads and her ride wasn't handling it well. So, we were at the dealer multiple times while I was test driving/ordering my new Tundra CrewMax and did some tire kicking on the FJs, then took one for a test drive. She liked that we could put our two dogs in the back and not trash the interior and she really liked the way it drove, so a couple of weeks before my Tundra came in she decided she wanted the FJ and we traded her 05 Lexus RX330 in on one that the dealer had coming in with the exact options/color we wanted...we've done a little wheeling in it and she's really starting to like that as well.
Now I'm starting to think about an FJ40 restoration project...not that I need another hobby right now!

I've got half of it down. The FJ ought to complete the equation early next year. AZ D.P.S. in the northern (cooler) part of the state. Meanwhile, here are a couple on duty pictures:
