Re: New Book in September

Boston - It is difficult to determine the subject content of the book at this time, however the author as written other books about taking an automotive idea from concept to production. Therefore, I think it is safe to assume this book will be how the FJ Cruiser got its roots from the FJ40 and through the California design company that developed the concept that went into production to become the FJ Cruiser. I doubt there will be much in the way of technical information and the story of concept to development we (the obsessed) are all familiar with. I'll not pre-order the book, but wait until it is released to read reviews. Somehow I have prejudged this book to be a disappointment to me and others that have followed the FJ Cruiser with interest since its introduction at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2003. I hope I'm wrong and the book is worthwhile.

Personally, I dont think there is anything any book can offer that this forum has not covered. The only way I think this book would be worth while would be if this were more of a do-it-yourself upgrade type book, which it seems its not.

Wow, I thought you guys were joking about Rooster being a Big Wheel now!

(Mebbe there'll actually be a Rooster trail run in SE VA or NE NC one of these days and I can get one of those cool watches....)

Re: New Book in September

more of a coffee table book, but don't think it'll be that useful to forum users.
